Boys Birthday Party Ideas

Many parents want boy birthday party ideas that do not revolve around violence. This can be difficult as little boys often gravitate towards rough play and movies. It is possible, however, to find boys birthday party ideas that do not revolve around violence. The following are boys birthday party ideas that rely on imagination instead of violence to entertain.

Dinosaur Party

Try to find dinosaur invitations. If this is not possible purchase blank cards and print out the party details on the inside of the card. Use rubber stamps or stickers of dinosaurs to decorate the outside of the card and envelope. Create a buffet table with an herbivore section and a carnivore section. On the herbivore side put bite sized fruits and vegetables. On the carnivore side place barbeque sausages, ham and cheese roll ups, or pepperoni and cheese roll ups. Decorate the cake as the guest of honors favorite dinosaur. For entertainment purchase small plastic dinosaurs and hide them. To decorate the party purchase inflatable dinosaur pool toys and dinosaur balloons. Let the little paleontologist search to find the remains of their very own dinosaurs, which they can then take home with them.

Bug Party

For boys that like to identify new bugs, throw a bug party. You will likely need to purchase blank cards and then decorate them with bug stickers or stamps. Put the boys in groups of two or three and then provide them with plastic cups or mason jars with lids. Have them go outside and find different bugs, one bug per container. The group with the most varieties of bugs wins the game. Prizes can include bug stickers, bug toys, or other small toys. If the group is curious about the types of bugs they’ve found have them look up the pictures in an entomology book or website. Create a cake that is shaped or decorated like your birthday boys’ favorite bug.
